Accessibility

We aim for the Site to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA.

• Every date is regular text. The frost window chart on each place page repeats dates already written out beside it, so screen readers skip it.
• Tables have captions and header cells, and the Site works with a keyboard and at 200% zoom.
• Everything works without JavaScript except the ZIP code lookup; without it, pick your state and town from the lists instead.
• Colors meet AA contrast in light and dark mode, and planting status is shown with a word and a mark, not color alone.
